This elaborate and dignified mission on Alexander St. has two dragon statues guarding the entrance to the St Therese Chinese Catholic Church. Inside chandeliers hang from the ceiling and Chinese characters grace the altar where masses are conducted in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Indonesian. One famous Italian-American in particular used to come to mass at St. Therese with his mother - the famous Chicago gangster Al Capone!
